Procedures

To ensure your safety and satisfaction before and after treatment, a consultation with one of our specialists is required. During this consultation, we will assess your eligibility for treatment and address any questions or concerns you may have. This step is also essential for setting realistic expectations and gathering important health information that may affect your treatment outcome.

How is PRP prepared?

A PRP treatment starts with a quick blood draw, just like a routine blood test. The sample is then spun rapidly in a centrifuge to separate the different components of the blood: red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma (including PRP).

While the sample is being spun, a local anesthetic can be applied to keep you as comfortable as possible. Once the anesthesia takes effect, the PRP is carefully extracted, prepared in a sterile syringe, and ready for injection (Figure 1).

Figure 1 – Preparing Platelet-Rich Plasma from whole blood includes the following steps: 1) withdraw blood, 2) separate the plasma by centrifugation, and 3) extract the PRP from the sample.

Expected Results after PRP Treatment

Clinical studies show that the results from PRP therapy are permanent when administered correctly. All treatment protocols at DermaVita are based on the latest scientific research to ensure optimal results. Therefore, we exclusively offer therapy packages comprising a minimum of three treatments. The recommended protocol involves one treatment per month for three consecutive months, followed by maintenance sessions every six months, if necessary.

Single PRP sessions are only available when incorporated into a prescribed treatment plan, such as post-hair transplant care.

Botox

Botox injections are normally quick and without discomfort. The procedure begins with a thorough cleansing of the skin of interest before the Botox is administered to the relevant area using a fine needle. The full effect of the treatment is typically observed within 14 days, and generally lasts from 3 to 6 months, although the results can vary among individuals.
